The University of Sydney — Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) (Honours Class I)
She holds additional training in sports physiotherapy and women’s health, with a special interest in helping women manage physical changes during pregnancy, after birth, and through peri-menopause.
Rita also integrates Clinical Pilates into her treatments to enhance recovery, build strength, and improve posture, core-strength and well-being.
Past employment:
Private practice and hospital settings in Sydney, working with patients recovering from a range of acute, post-operative, and chronic conditions.
What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
I am passionate about getting results! I also love making physiotherapy accessible and effective for patients from diverse backgrounds, and am fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
Cooking! I love experimenting with new recipes and making hearty meals for friends and family.
I also enjoy keeping active through gym training and Pilates.

Your most outstanding achievement:
Moving to Australia by myself in my early teens and picking up English quickly.
Now I’m in Singapore and I’m ready to pick up Singlish!
What would you cook if I came around for dinner?
A big, hearty southern Chinese meal — braised pork, veggie stir-fries, and more.
Finished with a Hong Kong–style dessert.
Where should we go on holiday?
New Zealand’s South Island — it’s the prettiest and calmest spot on earth.
